In D2R, when making CTA, the selection of the "best" substrate often depends on your character type and personal preference. CTA usually uses AMN, RAL, MAL, IST, and OHM runes. These rune combinations are considered very valuable in the game, so it is very important to choose a base material suitable for your character.

3. Flail

For characters with low power, such as Sorceress or Druid, the mana stick is a very good choice because it has lower attributes. The magic stick is also good in attack speed.

For characters with low requirements for power and agile attributes, military javelin is a good choice. It provides good attack speed and moderate damage.

How to Choose the CTA Base for All Classes in D2R

The CTA is usually crafted as a weapon because its primary function is to cast Battle Commands at levels 1-6, Battle Orders at levels 1-6, and Battle Orders at levels 1-6. All three skills provide significant buffs to the player and their teammates.

1. Barbarian

-Base Materials: Since a warrior can use any weapon, common CTA base materials include a mace (Flail) as it is not demanding and easy to attack at full speed, or a two-handed weapon such as a Great Axe (Great Ax) to maximize damage.

-Skill Trees: Generally invest in the Battle Cry skill tree, specifically combat commands that increase health and stamina, and combat commands that increase skills.

2. Paladin

-Basic material: Usually choose the mace, because the Paladin can easily reach the full attack speed of the mace. In addition, broadswords or crystal swords are also good choices if they can be equipped without any attribute bonuses.

-Skill Tree: Depending on the build, you may need to invest in defensive auras or combat skills.

3. Amazon

-Basic Materials: Amazon generally does not focus on melee weapons, so the choice of basic materials is not very critical. Mace is also a popular choice because it is lightweight and undemanding.

-Skill trees: Usually invest in crossbow or javelin spear skill trees, but CTA skills will not directly affect these skills.

4. Witch

-Basic material: Mages usually choose crystal sword as the basic material of CTA because it can be equipped without any attribute bonus and visually matches the image of the mage.

-Skill Trees: Invest in ice, fire, or lightning skill trees based on player size and preference.

5. Druid

-Basic materials: The druid can choose a mace or other weapon that can be held with one hand for use in the transformed state.

-Skill tree: Depending on whether the druid chooses the transformation skill tree or the elemental skill tree, the distribution of skill points will be adjusted accordingly.

6. Assassin

-Basic Materials: Assassins also usually choose the mace because it is simple and practical.

-Skill tree: Assassin's skill points are generally allocated in the trap or martial arts skill tree.

7. Necromancer

-Basic materials: Necromancers can choose maces or other weapons that can increase the curse effect, but generally speaking, the choice of basic materials is not particularly critical.

-Skill Trees: You typically place points in the Summoning skill tree to enhance skeletons and golems, or in the Poison Bones skill tree to enhance attack skills or curse skills. Place points on trees to increase crowd control and support capabilities.
