Additionally, most or all of these builds can benefit from defensive codex aspects like might protection and protector. Now, we break down the skills, aspects, and play style for each best season 1 starting builds in Diablo IV 1.1 patch.
1. D4 Best 1.1 Barbarian Build (Whirlwind)
The Barbarian will be kicking us off today and the best Diablo IV Season 1 build that we chose for this one is Whirlwind. It's extremely easy to understand and play and it can take care of pretty much any content all the way through to the end game.
Skills
Run lunging strike, whirlwind, tactical rallying cry, tactical challenging shout, power war cry, and wrath of the berserker for bosses or bigger fights. Passives are up to you but booming voice and raid leader are an absolute must.
Aspects
The offensive aspects that you need for this one are echoing fury which comes from Sirocco Caverns in Kehjistan and Dire Whirlwind which comes from Garan Hold in Scoglen. Most of your fury generation will come from lunging strike and it'll be supplemented by the echoing fury aspect as long as any of your shouts are up. Enhanced whirlwind should be able to keep you topped off for more significant AOE scenarios and it might take some getting used to but it's super easy once you do.
2. D4 1.1 Best Druid Build (Pulverize Poison Creeper)
The Pulverized Poison Creeper Druid is the best Diablo 4 season 1 build for leveling. Like the Barb, this one is pretty easy to understand, and on top of that it has some of the best hefty feeling, hulk smashes in the game. This build absolutely has the legs to take you up to high-end farming and beyond.
Skills
A lot of people build this in different ways, we recommend using storm strike as it cleaves and almost always applies vulnerable to everything. Pulverize is your resource spender and it overpowers every 12 seconds that you're healthy. Poison creeper and trample are used on cooldown as additional damage and crowd control. Earth and bulwark generate fortify which buffs everything. Then grizzly rage is your super Saiyan form usable as you see fit. Passives are up to you to decide what you want.
Aspects
The aspects that you'll want to get are earth and horror from Belfry Zakara in Hawezar, ballistic from Whispering Pines and Scosglen, quicksand from Feral's Den in Scosglen, retaliation from Seaside Descent in Dry Steppes and Mending Stone from Sealed Archives in Dry Steppes. All of these work together by making your pulverize and earth skill and then enchanting off of each other based on that. It takes a little bit to farm all the aspect dungeons but it's very worth it if you're leveling a Druid.
3. Diablo 4 1.1 Best Rogue Build (Twisting Blades Shadow Imbue)
The third and probably fastest class out there is the Twisting Blades Shadow Imbue Rogue. This one can take a little bit of finesse because it doesn't start out or get very tanky for a little while. But it's extremely rewarding if you stay with it.
Skills
Start with fundamental puncture as you can put vulnerable on anything on demand. Advanced twisting blades for cooldown reduction. Shadow step and dash for huge mobility and conceal allows you to either recuperate or reposition as needed. Then shadow imbue has to be the fan favorite for this one.
Aspects
You'll want to get are bladedancer from Jalal's Vigil in Scosglen. Edgemasters from Oldstones in Scosglen and Ravenous from Shifting City in the Dry Steppes. Ravenous should keep you topped up on energy and then all you really have to do is jam twisting blades into as many things as your heart desires, shadow imbued or not. Once you get the hang of the return time on twisting blades, you'll be able to dance gracefully around the field exploding every single thing you come into contact with. It's a literal blast.
4. D4 Best Sorcerer Build 1.1 (Chain Lightning)
Chain lightning has the potential to be inconsistent but the majority of the time, it absolutely shreds both single target and AOE without any issues at all. It does currently fall off a little bit in the late game but there are some amazing Sorcerer builds you can swap to at that point.
Skills
Start with arc lash for its once in a while stun that it has. Go with greater chain lightning, teleport for movement, ice armor of course as a defensive, frost nova for the crowd control and then you can go with an alt like unstable currents. The passives will be up to you but you should definitely enchant chain lightning as it's a free cast and at least get glass cannon for the big baseline damage boost.
Aspects
The aspects that you'll want are recharging to help keep your mana up and this comes from Zenith in Fractured Peaks. Edgemaster which comes from Oldstones in Scosglen, expectant which comes from Underroot in Scosglen, and control which comes from Sunken Library in Scosglen. This build doesn't really take too much explaining it's pretty much controlling your enemies and shooting beautiful laser beams all over the place.
5. Best Diablo 4 1.1 Necromancer Build (Shadow Blight Summon)
Finally, we have the Shadow Blight Summon Necromancer. If you're going for the true Summoner experience, this synergizes the best.
Skills
You can start with either acolyte’s reap or acolyte’s decomposed to produce corpses. Supernatural blight makes your summons do more damage to anyone standing in it. You can use corpse explosion if you want the free damage. Blood mist or corpse tendrils if you want even more control of the battlefield. Go blood golem for its damage reduction and awesome AOE and then horrid decrepify offers some great crowd control at all times. You can swap something out for an ultimate like army of the dead if you really want to. But if you don't like relying on long cooldowns, you can go with this setup instead. You can do whatever passives you want but we would recommend all the various bonuses to minions for different damages.
Aspects
The aspects that you want for this one are umbral which helps your resource management and that comes from Champion's Demise in the Dry Steppes. Reanimation buffs your skeletons and this comes from Aldurwood in Scosglen. Grasping veins gives you more crit chance if you go corpse tendrils which come from Corrupted Grotto in Kehjistan. Finally blighted which boosts your damage from the shadow blight key passive and this comes from Akkhan's Grasp in Hawezar.
Playstyle
The playstyle for this best season 1 build in D4 also doesn't take much explaining. Make sure everything is constantly slowed from decrepify. Keep your summons damage boosted from blight and skeletal priests. In general, just try not to get hit.
