Last Epoch 1.0 Leveling Guide: Best Fast 1-100 Leveling Methods for All Classes

We're in the patch 1.0 with the Cycles now. These are essentially Seasons if you're coming from Diablo 4 or leagues, maybe if you're from Path of Exile, the seasons are exactly what you might imagine though, a full reset, everyone's going in fresh with new features and content, but everyone has their old characters put onto a kind of Eternal style cycle. But on the current active cycle, everyone needs to fresh level. RageGamingVideos shares some tips and advice on how to efficiently reach the max level in Last Epoch & fast easy level 1 to 100 on all classes!

1. Complete the Main Story

To level, you'll start by completing the main story, there are 9 chapters in total to that story, though you can technically start the monolith at chapter 3 you could do some of the story and reach this point do some monoliths to level up, then continue the campaign. But the campaign's purpose beyond the story itself is to introduce you to different concepts mechanics unlocking dungeons as well as vital upgrades for your character. Those vital upgrades are your passive points and idol slots. The points help upgrade your character, the points are spent on your skill trees with the idol slots allowing for well more Idols to be equipped. Idols like a charm, an item that you can equip and gain some useful passes from and they are very impactful. So obviously having more slots from more of them is a good thing. If you open your map generally, you can see a tracker for the unlockable passive points and idle slots at the bottom left to let you know how many more you can still get. You're limited to unlocking 15 more passive points and 8 idol slots, but there's going to be a few sources of that be that main quest off or specific side quests. To know which side quests are worth doing, just check your log and look at the rewards at the bottom. It probably will say XP or gold as normal, but if it does say something like passive points or an idol inventory expansion, then those are quests that are worth doing. Though it's not until the end of chapter 2 that Idols will begin to drop and start being a major source of power for you, so you don't have to worry about it too much on the way to that.

Tips For Easy Level 1 to 100 On All Classes in Last Epoch

2. Prioritize Movement Speed

For some actual tips, movement speed is going to be king during leveling. It helps you blast through the areas which is going to be a major part of the campaign as you're moving from pack to pack clearing dungeons and going through those big regions. You're definitely going to be wanting to increase your damage, but getting to the targets and then beyond to the next objective fast is going to be how you really improve your leveling experience. There are a lot of sources of movement speed that you want to be aware of, but mainly boots and rings are going to be the obvious early sources. Also the map of each area is designed much like you might see in POE, you've got numbered areas connected to each other that you have to pass through initially, within each region, there's going to be a camp or a hub basically that has your standard stuff. There's usually a stash for storage a waypoint to fast travel around and different types of NPCs and traders. You can buy some interesting and useful stuff like boots that come with movement speed as a passive effect, if you buy a pair of boots that offer higher movement speed here, it's worth it. And also definitely pick up some rings, you can have two rings equipped at any one time and silver rings offer you anywhere from 3 to 8% increased movement speed. So with two of those, that's a potential 16% permanently going. This is going to also be a good time to check weapons, pick up something with good stats relevant to your class, that's probably going to be melee damage and attack speed or spell damage and cast speed depending on what you need.

fastest ways to level up in Last Epoch

On the way of the leveling big picture, you might find some uniques. There are specific ones that are going to be handy to have just for pure movement speed. These movement speed related uniques are apparently more common than other uniques. So you're likely to find at least one during the leveling. When you have a unique like that you can just use it until it's wasting a slot where you could have something more effective in the true end game. Whenever you do take it off, make sure you save it an awesome feature about Last Epoch is how they treat alts. If you want to make an alt later, you create it and then just give it super power right away. That could be crafting a strong weapon for it to use immediately or letting it use your movement speed items and uniques you've got saved from your first journey. That way your alt can blast immediately. Movement speed uniques feature raw movement speed from their affixes but often offer effects like haste. Haste can trigger to Grant another 30% movement speed triggered based on the unique's requirements. So that could be if an enemy's died nearby recently or a chance to trigger on a hit, otherwise they generally offer big raw movement speed numbers and they become quite Hefty when you stack them up together.

3. Kill Magic and Rare Enemies

A couple other tips to know during your journey would be about magic and rare enemies. They're essentially harder Elite or special enemies you bump into occasionally and they definitely take longer to kill than normal enemies. But you should absolutely be killing them whenever you see them, that's because they're worth significantly more XP than a normal enemy. Magic enemies are worth 50% more XP while the rares are worth an insane 200% more. So even if they're slower to kill, it is worth it and that's outside of potential for relevant item drops.

4. Ultilize Shrines

Another thing to be aware of during your leveling is the fact that the game does have shrines. These provide temporary Buffs to greatly improve your power whenever you interact with them, this might help you destroy packs of enemies fast for a little boost there or it could be the literal XP buffing shrines. It's only 1 minute of 50% extra XP, but it's always worth it especially if you see one and can time it with some serious mob clear following up while the buff's going. So if you see one, prepare yourself for that short buff and make the most of it. Beyond that, it is just blast the campaign and do what relevant side quest reward the important unlocks when possible.

5. Endgame System: Monolith of Fate

When you beat chapter 9, you'll be done with the campaign and you'll be more than ready to start taking on the main endgame which is the monolith fate system, though there are other endgame systems, this is the most important one. Monoliths are huge for XP and you will start to encounter them pretty early in the campaign. The End of Time monolith is listed at roughly level 25, but you can go there sooner, this is in chapter 3. You'd only really do the monoliths if you want to grind some XP to help you clear the campaign faster, maybe some of the latest stuff is being hard for you, so you go to the monolith to get some XP earlier. But you're definitely going to want to complete the campaign for all unlocks and the attribute points. Once you reach level 100 and unlock the empowered monolith system, engage with legendary areas with corruption for even greater rewards.
