ACNH Winter Update 2021 - December, January, February Events & Seasonal Items in Animal Crossing New Horizons

Animal Crossing New Horizons Winter Update 2021 - ACNH December, January, February Events & Seasonal Items
In the northern hemisphere, autumn ends with Thanksgiving Turkey Day, which is celebrated at the end of November. Starting from December, the villagers of Animal Crossing New Horizons officially begin their winter life. The leaves and grass will become more withered until the first snow falls on December 12. Coming on the 15th. At the same time, in the southern hemisphere, the hot summer will make your island full of vitality and colorful colors.
The snow-covered scenery will last on your island for nearly three months, and the ice and snow will not start to melt until February. Although the weather has become cold, winter will definitely excite you for celebrating holidays, such as the annual Christmas Toy Day and New Year Countdown. ACNH Winter Update Events & New Items (2021)
In order to help you participate in these winter events in a timely manner, we will list here in detail the festivals that will be celebrated throughout December (2021), January and February (2022), as well as the related seasonal items you are able to collect:
Winter Solstice
Date: December 21st to December 28th (Northern Hemisphere)
Items: Midwinter Sweater, Aurora Wall, and maybe more new limited-time commemorative items
For players in the Northern Hemisphere, the Winter Solstice event will be celebrated in Animal Crossing: New Horizons on December 21st, 2021. Special Winter Solstice items - Midwinter Sweater and Aurora Wall will be on sale for a week time in the Special Goods section of Nook Shopping, and maybe we can expect new items added this year.
Summer Solstice
Date: December 21st to December 28th (Southern Hemisphere)
Items: Sunflower Crown, Sunflower Rug, and maybe more new limited-time commemorative items
At the same time, in Southern Hemisphere, Summer Solstice takes place and players can purchase Sunflower Crown and Sunflower Rug items from Nook Shopping to celebrate the longest day of the year, also these items are only on sale for a week, starting from December 21st.
Flick's Bug-Off Event
Date: December 18, 2021/ January 15th, 2022 / February 19, 2022 (Southern Hemispheres)
Items: Bronze, Silver, Gold Bug Trophies
With Southern Hemispheres entering Summer and many bugs returning to our island, Flick comes back to hold the Bug-Off events throughout the season, you can take the chance to capture bugs as many as possible to earn the points for winning trophies!
Christmas Toy Day Event
Date: December 24th (Both Hemispheres)
Items: Toy Day Items, Toys, Christmas Clothing & Furniture
As one of the biggest event in the year, Christmas will be surely be celebrated again in Animal Crossing New Horizons, Jingle will return to our island and hold the Toy Day event. Still, he will ask you to help him sending gifts to your villagers, and reward you special Toy Day items. Not only that, the celebration of the festival has started in early December, Christmas Themed Clothes are on the shelves of Able Sisters, and the material used to make holiday-themed items will also be found on adult cedar trees starting from December 15th.
New Year Countdown Event
Date: December 31st (Both Hemispheres)
Items: New Year Items (New Year’s Noodles, Berliner, Twelve-Grape Dish, Sparkling Cider), Light Stick, Party Popper, New Year’s Hats
To welcome the arrival of the New Year, in addition to holding the countdown on New Year Eve, some holiday-related items will be offered on Nook Shopping starting from December 26th to December 31st. And on the New Year’s Eve Countdown Event (December 31st), Isabelle will send out Light Stick & Party Popper Items for free, and Tom Nook sells New Year’s Hats outside of the Resident Services.
New Year’s Day
Date: January 1st to January 15th, 2022 (Both Hemispheres)
Items: New Year Items (2022 Celebratory Arch, New Year’s Shimekazari, Olivier Salad, Zodiac Ox Figurine, Kagamimochi, Kadomatsu, Yut Nori)
To celebrate the beginning of 2022, and then more New Year’s items will become available on January 1st and can be ordered from Nook Shopping until January 15th.
C.J.'s Fishing Tourney Event
Date: January 8th, 2022 (Both Hemispheres)
Items: Bronze, Silver, Gold Fish Trophies
On the 2nd Saturday of January, C.J. is back to our island and hold the first Fishing Tourney of this year, try your best to catch fish as more as possible in the limited time to earn points and exchange Fish Trophies!
Groundhog Day
Date: January 25 to February 2, 2022 (Both Hemispheres)
Items: Resetti Model
Starting from the end of January to the beginning of February, we also can celebrate Groundhog Day (which is actually on February 2) with the Resetti Model. This cute model will available on the Nook Shopping from January 25 to February 2.
Japenese Setsubun Event
Date: January 28 to February 3, 2022 (Both Hemispheres)
Items: Bean Tossing Kit, Oni (Ogre) Mask, Oni (Ogre) Clothes, Woman's Mask
The traditional Japanese festival where people throw beans at others wearing masks of "oni" is celebrated in early February, a Japanese themed items - Bean-Tossing Kit will be available on Nook Shopping and Setsubun clothing for sale on Able Sisters until February 3rd, then you can wear the Oni Mask/Clothes and equip Bean Tossing Kit to toss beans to your villagers and friends.
Lunar New Year
Date: January 30th to February 6th, 2022 (Both Hemispheres)
Items: Lunar New Year Decoration, Lucky Red Envelope, Bokjumeoni Lucky Pouch
To celebrate the Chinese New Year and Korean New Year, the traditional Lunar New Year Themed furniture can be purchased from Nook Shopping’s Seasonal menu. The Lunar New Year Decoration will be very suitable for Chinese style designs, and Lucky Red Envelope & Bokjumeoni Lucky Pouch could be excellent gift wrapping!
Super Bowl Big Game Celebration
Date: February 1st to February 21st, 2022 (Both Hemispheres)
Items: Football Rug, Fiery Cheer Megaphone, Football Cheer Megaphone, Glittery Cheer Megaphone, Starry Cheer Megaphone
To celebrating the NFL Super Blow held on February 13th, 2022, the Big Game Celebration covering Football Rug and Cheer Megaphones will be release in Animal Crossing New Horizons from January 25th until February 15th, you can feel free to buy these football themed items from the Seasonal tab in Nook Shopping.
Valentine's Day
Date: February 1st to February 14th, 2022 (Both Hemispheres)
Items: Chocolate Heart, Heart-shaped Bouquet
The worldwide holiday for lovers will also be celebrated again in ACNH, starting from February 1st, you have two weeks time to purchase lovely gifts - Chocolate Heart and Heart-shaped Bouquet from Nook Shopping and express your regards to someone you love.
Pavé’s Festivale Event
Date: February 15, 2022 (Both Hemispheres)
Items: Festivale Clothes (Festivale Tank Dress, Festivale Costume, Festivale Accessory), Festivale Furniture Items (Festivale Balloon Lamp, Festivale Confetti Machine, Festivale Drum, Festivale Flag, Festivale Garland, Festivale Lamp, Festivale Parasol, Festivale Stage, Festivale Stall, Festivale Float)
Pavé’s Festivale event is the first biggest event take place in the year, it will bring huge of new items covering furniture and clothes. Starting from February 1st to the Festivale Event on February 15th, you can buy carnival themed Festivale furniture items at the Nook’s Cranny and special Festivale themed clothing at the Able Sisters. And by joining Pavé’s Festivale event on February 15, you will be able to collect Rainbow Feathers to craft more Festivale items.
Hinamatsuri Festival
Date: February 25 to March 3, 2022 (Both Hemispheres)
Items: Hhinaningyo, Blossom Lantern
The final holiday to be celebrated in winter is the Japanese Hinamatsuri Festival which is set on every March 3 in real-world, two lovely new items will be updated in Nook Shopping’s Special Goods section for players to buy.
