D2R Terror Zones Guide - Multiplayer or Single Player, Areas & How Does Terror Zone Work
Terror Zones are a brand new feature introduced in Diablo 2 Resurrected PTR Patch 2.5, how does it work in the game, and how to play it? Here we’ll talk about the D2R Terror Zones coming to the 2.5 Update.
Where Do D2R Terror Zones Available, Multiplayer or Single Player?
According to the response of PezRadar, Terror Zones only affect Multiplayer/Battlenet, Offline Single Player won’t be affected now. They may add it to the single player in the future, but now they want to nail down numbers in MP as MP numbers are not equal to SP. They have more ability to tweak multiplayer on the fly as well while single-player is a bit more baked in. But it is highly expected to be available for offline single player as well.
How to Play Terror Zones in Diablo 2 Resurrected?
Terror Zones are optional, you can select whether to play it or not, you can go into the Game Creation and select Enable Terror Zones, then zones are allowed to become terrorized.
How Do Terror Zones Work in D2R 2.5?
Terror Zones are currently being tested on Diablo 2 Resurrected 2.5 PTR, things in the PTR are subject to change. Diablo servants terrorize different areas every hour from a predefined pool, which area is affected will be announced by a chat message and if you enter such an area you will see another warning in the middle of the screen, in terrorized areas, the monster level of the monsters increases and so does their power, the quality of possible Diablo 2 item drops and also the distribution of experience. Terror Zones can raise drop rates to Treasure Class 87, which means any items in the game can drop in these terrorized locations. Normal monsters rise 2 levels, champions rise 4 and uniques will receive +5 levels on their base monster level in all three difficulties. But there are limits to the monster levels that cannot be exceeded in Hell, for example, these are levels 96, 98, and 99 for normals, champions, and uniques.
