Diablo 4 Open Beta Date, Platforms, Content & How To Get Beta Early Access
In the last few days and after the Game Awards, there is a lot of new information about Diablo 4. The most important of these are, of course, the release date and the BETA. But now there are still a lot of unanswered questions and with this article, we want to enlighten you with something.
When will Diablo 4 Open Beta Release?
Unfortunately, there is bad news for all Diablo 4 fans, the Open BETA will probably not come until April. The rumors that the beta is coming so late have been around for some time, but with the new tattoo event and the associated BETA accesses, the rumors seem to be confirmed. Those who participate in the tattoo event will not only get a tattoo but also access to the Open Beta and since this event runs until April 15th, there will probably be no beta before that.
If we had to take an educated guess, we would put the Diablo 4 Open Beta release date most likely either at the end of April or the start of May of 2023.
How To Get Diablo 4 Open Beta Access?
If you get Diablo IV's Digital Editions in advance, you are guaranteed Diablo 4 OPEN BETA Early Access. According to Blizzard, everyone will have the opportunity to play Diablo 4 in beta, but those who have already got Diablo 4 should be able to play a little longer.
Which Platform Will The Diablo IV Open Bate Be Available?
If Blizzard follows the D2R Beta release path, we speculate that Diablo IV Open Beta tests will be playable on all consoles (Xbox, PS) and PC, except for Nintendo Switch.
PC
Xbox One / Xbox Series X/S
PS4 / PS5
How To Play Diablo 4 Open Beta?
If players are to pre-order Diablo 4 physically, a redeemable code should be available on their receipt. Simply enter this code into your platform of choice to begin downloading the Early Access Beta.
As for players who pre-ordered the title digitally, the Open Beta should be automatically available to download in your game library from when the pre-loading for the Open Beta goes live.
You will likely need a Battle.net account for PC and an account linked to your console.
How Long Will Diablo 4 Open Beta Take?
The minimum Open Beta period of Diablo IV is 2 days. Estimated experience duration can be up to 4 days; actual play time may be affected by potential disconnection issues or applicable time zone differences.
What Content To Play In Diablo 4 Open Beta?
As of this writing, it is unclear what kind of content gamers might anticipate testing during the Diablo 4 Open Beta.
The first location, Fractured Peaks, would be explored, exactly as the press had the pleasure of testing it in late 2022 if we had to guess. At the very least, the Barbarian and Sorcerer should be available, and a level cap of 25 is probably in order.
IGN Fan Fest will take place on February 17 and 18 and will feature several games, movies, and series with exclusive content, including announcements about them. Among them, we find Diablo IV, whose Open Beta was announced at the opening of pre-orders, the latter offering early access to it. As Rod Fergusson implies in response to one of the players on Twitter, this event should be an opportunity for Blizzard to announce the dates of this test phase, which as a reminder should be relatively short.
