Diablo 4 Best Support Class & Builds for Co-Op | D4 Group Tier List
In Diablo IV, Support Class will be meta in group play, especially for the hard endgame Co-op running and farming, so let's break down the possible best support builds in the game!
Why Support Class or Build Will Be Meta in Diablo 4 Group Play?
What's the point of doing damage if there's nothing to kill, and the best groups always have somebody in a role when we're trying to push harder content? We saw this in Diablo 3 even when it wasn't really intentional by the designers, players still just figured it out, so that support is going to be required for Diablo 4 in-game, and let's talk about starting with limited deaths and Nightmare dungeons. The Sacred Nightmare dungeons will have a death limit of 12, and the Ancestral Nightmare dungeons will have a death of 4 per run. Who doesn't die in Diablo 3? These Zero damage builds! Monsters are going to hit really hard so if you don't spec into defense or some kind of utility, you're going to die, it's one of the reasons we have zero damage builds in Diablo 3. So for DPS, you're going to need a Barb to group things again. Some people just enjoy playing support roles, and this is also a way for casual players or players that just don't have time to provide their skills to join in-game content, this allows everyone to provide value and play with friends and enjoy the game. The difference is that Diablo 4 supports are going to do more than just buff the party, we've been calling them S builds.

Which Class Could Be the Best Support Character in Diablo 4?
The Support classes are going to have different roles, it's really impossible to say which class will have which role because there's going to be a lot of synergy to figure out in-game:
Crowd Control - This is one of the main things, we know monsters will get CC immune just like in Diablo 3, and just like in Diablo 3 we can't have everyone trying to CC everything, we'll end up with a ton of Unstoppable monsters coming after us and running all over the place.
Objectives - We'll have to complete the objectives. There's a lot of in-game to do in Diablo 4, unless you're on a mount you move pretty slow between objectives and running around Maps, so if an objective-focused support row comes in, he can grab the idle, he can run back and put it on the pedestal or whatever you got to put it, that means that we're just going to be doing boss fight after boss fight and if you want to farm that's farming. This is going to be most useful for leveling glyphs if this works right, we can just form the bosses and clear dungeons a lot faster.
Vulnerability - And while we're trying to kill stuff, vulnerability is just too powerful not to take advantage of, but if a DPS has to spec into it then they miss out on more damage. So if a support class can cause almost constant vulnerability then they'll provide more value than trying to also do damage.
Party Buffs & Monster Debuffs - And with all that the supports are also going to be there for typical reasons, buffing party, and debuffing monsters, some can do this better than others but that's going to be something to look at once these rolls start to flush out a little bit better.
Diablo 4 Best Group Support Class
So, which one can be the best support class in Diablo IV? Barbarian has a lot of options for Support classes and for damage, there's a lot of a lot to work with there. Rogue is also going to be probably something to look at. Necromancer has a lot of opportunities with bone prison causes vulnerability, the Sorceress does a lot of CC with her ice build so that might be a great option like taking out the world boss.
Diablo 4 Best Support Builds
With that being said, there is no support class in Diablo 4, only support builds that can be created to cover the synergies talked about above.
1. Best Barbarian Support Build: Shout Bleed Barbarian Build
This build is designed to facilitate a straightforward skill rotation, allowing for maximum group utility in specific situations. It involves buffing and healing the group using Shout Skills, while simultaneously applying Bleeds to enemies. This helps reset the cooldown on your shot skills when using Flay basic attacks. To enhance movement speed and resource generation, employ Rallying Cry. When confronted with a group of mobs, apply Steel Grasp to immobilize them, and utilize Ground Stomp to stun them. Acquire the Challenging Shout to draw aggro and act as the group's tank. For single-target encounters, leverage Wrath of the Berserk for increased movement speed and the ability to be unstoppable.
2. Best Druid Support Build - Tornado Werewolf Druid Build
Permanent 20% critical hit chance for the entire party and 15% attack speed buff to the entire party that's not clickbait. He's also more like a permanent 20% damage reduction for everyone in the group plus constant vulnerability on enemies so they're going to be taking 20% more damage from the team. A revolting amount of crowd control bathing the entire field in slows knockback immobilizations and more, this build actually just sprays crowd control on enemies where like the Oprah Winfrey of them actually. We also get pets that can tank and take pressure off the team and help you contribute, so you are far from just a helpless no DPS non-contributing support which is obviously a great thing. We're also bringing an AOE to heal too, because why not that's not a support build if we can't, the cherry on top is that we can spec in and get a big gentle safety dome.
3. Best Rogue Support Build: Death Trap Rogue Build
This build presents a comprehensive combination of crowd control, utility, and sheer power, making it suitable for tackling any challenge the game presents. While Poison Trap or Death Trap can be incorporated into any Rogue build, this particular build focuses on their utilization by synergizing them with the trap-themed Exposure Key Passive. By combining this with the cooldown recovery provided by Twisting Blades, you can swiftly reset your traps, unleashing havoc upon your enemies consistently. The ability to draw enemies together using Prime Death Trap is a standout feature of this build. This not only offers significant group utility by clustering foes, but it also proves invaluable in solo play as it allows you to efficiently trigger your Poison Trap and Bladedancer AoE effects, dispatching enemies swiftly.
4. Best Sorcerer Support Build: Ice Shards Frost Nova Sorcerer Build
The Ice Sorcerer build is one of the strongest builds in Diablo IV. This keeps you alive in almost any situation, you can have almost infinite mana and the ability to shred Elites and bosses is like no other. The main goal of this build is to get as much crowd control as possible. With this build, you can dive into a pack of enemies and burst them down with your Frozen, and then if you are on your cooldown you can heal in the middle of the animation everything's going to freeze and you should be ready to go for the next pack of mobs. And the build does also work at a range well and you can attack mobs pretty much off the screen, and kill entire packs without having to get near them. If you know there is a pack of enemies in the distance just use them at a range and as they run toward you and your teammates, freeze them, and then it chains all of the ice shards everywhere.
5. Best Necromancer Support Build: Bone Spear Prison Build
The Bone build for the Necromancer in Diablo 4 focuses on optimizing damage output through the utilization of maximum essence, as well as emphasizing high critical strike capabilities. This build also possesses the capability to apply a vulnerability debuff on enemies, providing a tactical advantage during combat. To initiate combat with the Bone build for the Necromancer in Diablo 4, you can begin by casting a single Bone Spear to generate a corpse. This will provide the resource needed to activate Corpse Tendrils. With enemies grouped together, you can then unleash a devastating combination by utilizing Bone Prison, which will further consolidate the enemies. Finally, you can continuously cast Bone Spear to deal significant damage and eliminate the grouped foes effectively. This sequence of skills creates a powerful wombo-combo technique that maximizes the effectiveness of the Bone build in combat situations.
