This limit is increased by discovering some Altars of Lilith, as well as as a reward for Renown. It is assumed that the limit is there to force you to spend them regularly rather than storing them up to level 100. So you should do some gambling during your leveling progression to the endgame!

More Tips For Gambling Correctly in Diablo IV
