Which class to play in Season One of Diablo IV? We’ll go over a new D4 tier list that ranks the Diablo 4 Season 1 best class or meta character to start with in Season of the Malignant.

Diablo 4 Season 1 Best Class to Play - Meta Class (Character) for D4 Season 1

The Developers stated that they were not going to be making any direct changes at the very start of the season, however as the season develops and continues and we start to uncover the malignant hearts and really make these classes kind of insane, there are going to be changes, but we are going to base this off of the changes that we currently have. What is the best class for S1 of Diablo 4? This D4 Season 1 tier list by PxP Web Studio uses leveling as the main metric, so if you are going for other purposes, the ranking might be completely different.

5 - Necromancer (C Tier)

At the start of the new season, the worst class to play in terms of leveling is probably Necromancer, there's no mobility and the only thing that it really has going for it is Bone Spear. There is a Blood Nova build that can take down Lilith, but he has to use Blood Mist about 20,000 times to put all the orbs out in order to rack everything up to hit it with its spirit. There is no wide build variety for the Necro character, when it comes to leveling in Diablo IV Season 1, it is super slow, it is not a great experience when you can only use the Bone Spear. On the other hand, Necromancer is outstanding at damage output, survivability, and Crowd Control abilities.

4 - Druid (B Tier)

Druid is a little bit better than the Necromancer, it is also slow to level up, so if you are a player that wants a really fast start and you are not somebody who enjoys slowly grinding, this class is not going to be the option for you. However, Druid is going to perform well in the endgame and it can take down Lilith quickly, its build variety is very good as well, you can consider some Druid builds when you toward the late game in Diablo 4 Season 1.

3 - Sorcerer (A Tier)

Moving on to the number three character, Sorcerer is the most consistent and most balanced class in the game, when it comes to leveling, Sorceress is fundamentally built to a fast level, nothing really beats Chain Lightning Sorc, and then if you get Ice Shards, it's absolutely insane, so the experience for the Sorcerer is very good. But you do lack a lot of build variety because you're stuck using the same defensive skills as well as core skills.

2 - Barbarian (S Tier)

One of the best classes to play in D4 Season 1 is Barbarian, it will give you a good leveling experience unless some significant changes happen, you do lack a little bit of mobility until you start to get your shots and then you really speed up, you have really high damage and you are tanky. It is similar to Sorcerer, with every single defensive skill in the game and it doesn't allow for large build variety. The leveling experience for Barbarian is very rewarding in terms of Diablo IV gold and XP, you're fast to reach level 50 and even level 100. But Barb has more mobility than Sorc and tankier, so you can take more hits and you do more damage than the actual sorcerer does. In addition, you really fall off with Sorcerer towards the end where Barbarian you don't and you're clearing pretty easily with Barb.

1 - Rogue (Meta)

The number one also meta character to start your Diablo IV Season 1 would be the Rogue, which is the overall best class. It allows for the easiest leveling in the game, and you can do a lot of damage.  But once you get towards the end game, you really suffer because of its survivability, it's just a glass cannon, you should try to not take a hit. If you want fast and easy leveling in Season One, you will enjoy the Rogue class and builds.
