If you play Druid in the game, you might have found yourself in a situation where you're finding lots of Barbarian weapons. The loot table on the Druid is currently bugged, you are sharing the weapon loot table with the Barbarian. So the chances of finding the crone staff significantly decrease, because all these other items can drop at the same time, but we still can increase those odds. In this guide, we’re going to show you how to increase your chances, how to farm specific unique items like Tempest Roar and the Greatstaff Of The Crone in Diablo 4 Season 1 after patch. 

What is Tempest Roar in D4 S1?

Tempest Roar is an ancestral unique helm for the Druid class in Diablo 4. It has a special effect that makes your storm skills also turn into werewolf skills. Any bonuses that apply to your Werewolf Skills will passively apply to your Storm Skills, giving them a massive boost. Finding Tempest Roar in D4 has been an absolute pain in most people’s experience, though. That’s because it’s incredibly rare. You could spend hours farming Nightmare Dungeons and still end up with nothing. They have reportedly said that the drop rate is lower than 1%, and even after many efforts, they cannot farm it. However, the drop rate of Tempest Roar will increase in World Tier 3 and 4, and much higher chance in World Tier 5 when that is available.

How to Target Farm Tempest Roar in D4 Season 1 - Best Way to Find Tempest Roar in Diablo 4

Typically, our advice for Tempest Roar farming in Diablo 4 Season 1 after patch 1.1 would be to farm endgame content like World Bosses and Helltide Events, but you could be at it for hours with nothing to show.

Your best chance at having the Tempest Roar drop is to squire what’s called a Nightmare Sigil, attainable after you’ve beat the campaign and can enter World Tier 3, and then activate it to up the difficulty of dungeons to Nightmare. Once you enter and complete a Nightmare Dungeon, there is a significantly higher chance that unique items like the Tempest Roar may drop. Again, unfortunately, it’s not guaranteed that it ever will, but at least you’ll get some good gear in the process of trying.

To increase your chances of finding Tempest Roar in D4 after patch, you can try the following methods:

• Reset the dungeons by leaving and re-entering them to farm for more loot.

• Use items or skills that increase your magic find or item quality, such as Lucky Charm or Fortune's Favor.

• Kill specific enemy types that have a higher drop rate of unique helms or staves, such as Cannibals or Cultists.

• Watch videos or guides that show how to double your unique drop quantity by using certain mechanics or gameplay styles.

Nightmare Dungeons

Now by far the best way to find unique items like Tempest Roar are from the rewards from Nightmare dungeons. What you need to know is that different monsters in the game have a higher chance of dropping certain items. So for example, if we're hunting the crone staff, that goat men have a significantly higher chance of dropping two-handed staffs and the way the loot works is when an item drops, it has a chance of upgrading to the next tier. There are 4 dungeons that have goat men in them, but only one of them is a nightmare dungeon and it's really easy to find on the map. 

You just have to look for this empty circle and go up, and this is it here Champions Demise. So you're going to have to farm the nightmare sigil keys to be able to do this dungeon over and over again, because you want that awesome reward at the end.

Here's a little tip if you just want to farm normal dungeons with goat man in them at the end of it: You want to use your emote key and press leave dungeon, teleport to town, sell your gear and by the time you go back through that teleporter, the dungeon will be reset. So you've got to leave the dungeon first.

Cultists 

Cultists have a significantly higher chance of dropping helms. Once again, there are several dungeons in the game that have cultists in them. But if you're looking for the nightmare dungeon to get that reward at the end, we've got this dungeon named the Cultist Refuge. What's cool about the Cultists is that they have a higher chance of dropping daggers and helms. Now daggers are used on the Rogue, so they do not drop as frequently on the Druid. In other words, if you're really trying to find Tempest Roar, The cultist Refuge is going to be phenomenal for you to be able to find it. If you're going to be farming these items, it's going to be significantly quicker if you can play in a group. You do not have to worry about the item dropping and you not being there to pick it up. If for some reason it drops for your friend on the other side of the map, it'll get put as a little notification the next time you go back to your stash, it'll pick the item up for you and you can grab it that way.

If you're trying to find a better base yellow helmet for your character, you can use this technique for yellow items as well. So in this particular case, you need to be farming cultists. You will actually see how many more yellow items you will get of a specific type in your inventory when you're selling your gear. You'll have like twice as many helms just by doing this technique. So if you're looking for base yellow items, you want to apply this as well. And, if you spend the whole day farming these dungeons and you still do not find this item, keep in mind that the item is still very rare. You will find maybe3 uniques in an entire session. So it's still pretty difficult, but your odds are going to go up significantly doing this technique.

- Snakes: 2H Polearms, Swords

- Spiders: Chests, Focus, Gloves, 2H Swords

- Vampires: Bows, 2H Swords, Wands

Best Diablo 4 Tempest Roar Builds 

There are several builds that use Tempest Roar in Diablo 4, such as Lightning Storm Druid and Werewolf Tornado Druid. These builds take advantage of the unique effect of Tempest Roar to combine storm and werewolf skills for high damage and mobility.

• Lightning Storm Druid: This build focuses on using lightning skills such as Thunderstrike and Lightning Breath to deal massive damage to enemies from a distance. It also uses Storm's Eye and Tornado to create whirlwinds of electricity that follow you around. You can shapeshift into a werewolf to gain more speed and spirit regeneration, as well as bonuses from items such as Dire Wolf's Aspect and Stormbringer.
