According to the World of Warcraft 2024 roadmap, there will be several huge content updates for Dragonflight. When will Season 4 start and what gear can we get? The key thing we want to talk about is the release date of WoW Dragonflight Season 4 and its content. 

WoW Dragonflight Season 4 Release Date

The timeline roughly shows the schedule of World of Warcraft Dragonflight patches and seasons, and Season 4 is set to arrive in 2024 Spring, before the launch of Patch 10.2.7 - Dark Heart. 

In terms of the actual release date of Dragonflight Season 4, the official information is not available yet, what we know is Dragonflight 10.2.5 is set to begin on January 16. There will be also a mysterious patch 10.2.6 before the fourth season, this patch is scheduled in late winter or early spring, it seems that the interval between it and 10.2.5 Seeds of Renewal is relatively short. The estimated release of Patch 10.2.6 is before March 19, 2024. WoW 10.2.6 is likely to introduce the lore events to allow players to revisit the old dungeons and raids in the upcoming Season 4. Based on the information we have about the release and duration of Dragonflight seasons, it is most likely that we will have the WoW Dragonflight Season 4 in April or May.

The developer is going to use tier sets from previous seasons in Season 4, but instead of the team choosing which tier set to use, the community has the access to vote for the favorite class look and favorite specialization set bonuses for every single spec from the first three Dragonflight Seasons. The power of the set bonuses will be updated to match the increased power of the new gear in the fourth season.

WoW Dragonflight Season 4 Content

Compared to other seasons, World of Warcraft Dragonflight Season 4 will be different, it is the final season of this expansion and is going to be shorter, we do not get a new raid and most of the content will be recycled from previous seasons.

This means we will have a recycled tier set and a remixed set of WoW gear for each specialization. The major content includes Dragonflight raids revisited, a new PvP season, a new mythic+ season, and new open-world rewards.
