Elden Ring DLC Best Starter Builds

Elden Ring DLC Best Starter Builds - Top 8 Overpowered Builds to Use for Shadow of the Erdtree

With the arrival of the eagerly awaited DLC for Elden Ring, players are once again gearing up to explore the vast and mysterious world with new builds and strategies. The DLC brings not only new challenges and enemies but also introduces exciting weaponry, armor, and spells that can greatly enhance one's combat abilities. So what builds are you going into the DLC with,? Below, we'll delve into top 8 fun and powerful builds to try in Elden Ring DLC shared by KhrazeGaming’s video! There are three aspects we’re going to keep in mind with every single one of them. First is versatility we're going to go over builds with lots of options when it comes to combat, second is damage, we're going to maximize the heck out of it so enemies live for as little as possible. And finally fashion, because what's the point of being efficient if we don't look good enough.

#1. Best Intelligence Builds for Elden Ring DLC

Let’s start with the intelligence builds! They have everything, they have the range, they have the damage and they also have the stagger. Now there are three variants you can achieve this way either pure intelligence and going more into the Mage route or going with a slight Carian Knight that focuses either into strength or agility. But we’re going to show you all three variants.

  • Pure Mage

You can build this in a number of ways, focusing a lot more on great Glinstone Stars on the Night Shard or even gravity spell variant, but it also comes with one of the highest burst damage in the game from the Comet Azura setup. And the way to play this is setting up stuns prior to unleashing the Comet Azura to keep enemies to basically melt them. And luckily intelligence users have two of the best abilities for that:

- Ash of War Glintblade Phalans: You can literally use on any offhand weapon.

- Shard Spiral: Not only is this great at dealing damage against bosses as it penetrates through their body, but for some reason it's also really great at stunning them. So a couple of casts are all you need for each of these and bring anything to its knees, point at which can pop off the Cerulean hidden tier and then leash a Comet Azura.

#2. Blade Dancer

You use the Adula’s Moonblade and the Moonveil Katana. So we still use the Glintblade Phalanx on an off hand weapon and combining this with the Moonveil Katana is going to provide you some of the most insane staggers in the entire game. And we're still going to use the Carian Regal Scepter to unleash that Adula’s Moonblad perfectly, so that both the sword as well as the wave of frost both hit the enemy's body at the same point. In terms of the talisman, we're using the Shard of Alexander, Carian Filigreed Crest, Primal Glintstone Blade.

#3. Darkmoon

There's also a third variant with a darkmoon great sword instead which focuses a bit more onto strength. The magic damage scales entirely with intelligence here, so if you're just using its L2 attack, you can definitely just have that in your hand and not care too much about the physical component. The Darkmoon can also stun by the way on its L2 attack plus R2, so you can unleash a couple of waves very similar to Adulas Moonblade, but a bit more focused on single target damage. However, it's going to make that Adulas Moonblade a bit redundant in this case. Talismans that we are using include the Godfrey Icon, Magic Scorpion, the Graven-Mass, Ginstblade and also the Carian Filigreed Crest.

#4. Best Elden Ring DLC Blasphemous Pyromancer Build

The fourth one is going to be all about faith and one of the best is the Blasphemous Pyromancer or any variant that incorporates the Blasphemous blade. Specifically because the Taker's Flame skill travels very long and it lets you completely disregard your HP like you're going to regenerate so much, it doesn't even matter, plus you can throw in a sword of millos even unupgraded and recuperate the ton of your FP back as you take down more and more targets. We're also using a Giant's Seal So that we can also use the fire giant incantations. There are other incantations you can use, an alternative version would be the Dragon Cult incantation plus Gravel Stone Seal in case you want the bit more flashiness and use some of cool red lightning spells. Besides this, we have armor set, using the Ruler's Mask, and in terms of talisman, we're going with Alexander Shard, Flock’s Canvas talisman and the Fire Scorpion charm.

#5. Arcane Bleed Build for DLC Elden Ring - Scavenger’s Curved Sword Build

Then we have one of the most devastating bleed builds in the game, and we use this with a ton of points into arcane. Apply bleed with fast attacks from Scavenger's Sword while buffed by talismans and armor. When bleed procs, enemies take massive damage. Use craftable items or weapon arts to stack bleed. Partner with another bleed build in co-op for even faster bleeddowns on enemies/bosses. Potentially use blood magic from the DLC if added.

#6. Strength Build for DLC Elden Ring - Godslayer's Greatsword Build

Strength builds are also some of the strongest in the game, and in this setup, we have the God's great sword with one of the strongest ashes of war the Lion's Claw Ash of War which deals an insane 33 stance damage with the setup, but it can go even higher to 40+ especially if you use something like great hammers or colossal weapons. This setup can be used from very early in the game and it's extremely efficient. You also get some hyper armor when using Lion's Claw Ash of War, so you rarely get knocked out of it. Basically, there's very few skills in the game that can prevent you from using it. But you will gain damage so you do have to be careful about that. In terms of other abilities, we do have about 25 points into faith, so that we can use flame, grant me strength and the golden vow. In terms of armor and talismans, we need Omensmirk mask for the extra strength. There's also the Raptor’s Black Feathers and the claw talisman since we're going. And the final talisman should be a Shard of Alexander to boost that Lion Claw Ash of War damage.

#7. Crucible Knight Build for DLC Elden Ring

The next build is the Crucible Knight build, which uses a few very interesting choices. Siluria’s Tree is one of them, a very strong option, the L2 on this deals some very good damage covers a nice range and often times can also stun enemies together. But you also have an option for the Ordovis great sword as a side weapon or a way to deal some AOE, plus you can charge it up for longer to unleash even stronger damage potential. In terms of some of the other abilities, we use Aspect of the Crucible Horns and tails, both options very strong which you can then further buff up with either of the Crucible armor sets be as the axe or the tree. In this case 3.5% boost per each armor piece. But the Crucible horns is very awesome, it does require a bit of charge up, but it can definitely throw enemies up on their backs. Talismans are going to further boost the weapon skill damage, so Shard of Alexander, Godfrey Icon, and Sacred Scorpion charm.

#8. Bloodhound’s Fang Build for DLC Elden Ring - Best Dexterity Build

The only setup left uncovered is the dexterity build and this one lets you use all of the best dexterity weapons in the game and it even has a ranged variant via the bolt of grand sex. You get to use the Bloodhound’s Fang which is an S tier through and through from start all the way to the end game, deals tons of damage, couples of extremely well with the bloodflame blade, it even has a very good escape, plus it has quite a bit of stagger baked into its final attack. Another one is the Nagakiba, it deals tons of damage, the bleed buildup is very strong plus the damage on this thing is very good. And it barely costs anything to the point that you can spam it very easily. But because we invested so many points into dexterity, we can also use something like the bolt of grand sax, not only is this a nice bit of flashiness that this build Sly misses but it's also great as has a ranged ability, its skill has been buffed numerous times, its FP is not too big, it also gets casted quite fast and the damage on it is very good. Plus it hits enemies from very far away. As far as items go, you can go with Okina Mask for some extra dexterity or White Mask if you want to incorporate some bleed buildup. Slso black feather plus the claw talisman if you're doing jump attacks like going with a double banded curved sword or going with double twinblades. Also using Lords of Blood Exaltation, also Shard of Alexander, you can also go with the Rotten Wing Sword Insignia.
