Path of Exile 2 0.2 Dawn of the Hunt Best Class Tier List

With the introduction of the new Huntress class and third ascendancies for Warrior, Witch, and Mercenary in PoE 2 0.2 Dawn of the Hunt, which class remains strong, and which new choices will be the top tier? The DotH tier list ranks all 17 class ascendancies in Path of Exile 0.2 Patch.

1. Amazon (Huntress) - S Tier

The first one - Amazon, which is one of the Huntress ascendancies, ranks at the top of the Dawn of the Hunt tier list mainly because it excels in speed and clearing capabilities, making it an ideal choice for new players diving into the latest league. With various weapon options, including bows and spears, the Amazon is adaptable and can fit various archetypes. This combination of speed and damage ensures a rewarding experience.

2. Lich (Witch) - S Tier

Lich is a new ascendancy for Witch and also one of the best class ascendancies in PoE 0.2, it boasts significant potential for endgame builds, especially for spellcasters and summoners. It features powerful mechanics like double curses and explosive damage effects. Although it lacks the speed of Amazon, its damage output is substantial, driven by unique synergies with specific items. This balance of power and utility justifies its S-tier ranking, appealing to players looking to maximize damage while maintaining a strong defensive setup.

3. Deadeye (Ranger) - S Tier

Deadeye excels with its fast-paced gameplay and strong synergy with projectile skills. With buffs enhancing its damage and clear speed, this class remains a favorite among players who appreciate rapid playstyles. Its ability to capitalize on frenzy charges and projectiles makes it versatile and effective in various builds.

4. Smith of Kitava (Warrior) - A Tier

Smith of Kitava, which is the third ascendancy for Warrior, is recognized for its incredible defensive capabilities, making it a solid choice for players who prioritize survivability. While it may lack direct damage output, its synergy with the league's environment allows for immense tankiness, which is particularly beneficial in early game scenarios. The class shines through its ability to mitigate damage and support different builds, though its slower pace keeps it from the S-tier.

5. Invoker (Monk) - A Tier

Invoker has been adjusted to balance its defensive and offensive capabilities. While it received nerfs in evasion and utility, its damage output remains strong, thanks to buffs to elemental skills. This class works well for various elemental builds, making it a reliable choice for players looking for a well-rounded character. Its solid performance in both damage and survivability earns it a respectable A-tier ranking.

6. Stormweaver (Sorceress) - A Tier

Stormweaver remains a powerful choice in Path of Exile 2, particularly for players focused on maximizing damage. Despite recent nerfs, it still offers significant damage potential through its shock mechanics. This class allows for creative builds that can deal with high-tier content effectively, making it a solid pick for players who enjoy a damage-heavy playstyle.

7. Ritualist (Huntress) - B Tier

Ritualist offers unique gameplay through its charm mechanics and additional ring slots, which can enhance build diversity. However, its clunky mechanics and the need for specific gear to unlock its full potential limit its effectiveness. While it has solid utility, the overall skill ceiling and the challenges in optimizing its performance place it in the B tier. This class may appeal to players who enjoy experimenting with gear and builds.

8. Tactician (Mercenary) - B Tier

Tactician shines in group play, providing substantial support through banners that enhance team performance. However, its clunky mechanics can deter solo players seeking a smoother experience. Despite its potential for high synergy when played with friends, the class's reliance on teamwork and its less accessible playstyle result in a B-tier ranking, suitable for those who enjoy cooperative gameplay.

9. Pathfinder (Ranger) - B Tier

Pathfinder focuses on concoctions, which offer unique buffs and immunity options. While it received some buffs in its mechanics, it remains somewhat niche in terms of build diversity. Most players opt for concoction-based builds, and while it has solid potential, its limitations in other areas keep it grounded in the B tier. This class is great for those looking to experiment with potions, but it may not appeal to everyone.

10. Blood Mage (Witch) - B Tier

Bloodmage offers strong niche capabilities, primarily for builds centered around blood mechanics. While it can be very effective in specific setups, its overall utility is limited, and it may not suit every player's style. The class remains powerful for those focused on blood-themed builds but is less versatile than others.

11. Gemling Legionnaire (Mercenary) - B Tier

Gemling has received some interesting adjustments that enhance its build potential, particularly through its attribute nodes. However, it still lacks the speed necessary to compete with higher-tier classes. While it offers some unique bonuses and synergies, its overall performance keeps it in the mid-tier.

12. Titan (Warrior) - B Tier

Titan offers a bulky and versatile gameplay experience with slight buffs to its damage output. It can handle various builds effectively but is slower and less appealing for players who prefer fast-paced gameplay. This balance of bulk and utility makes it be put here, you can choose it if you want to build tanky characters without sacrificing too much damage.

13. Infernalist (Witch) - C Tier

Infernalist has experienced significant changes, resulting in a decline in its overall power. Previously strong due to its demon form mechanics, it now struggles to compete with classes that offer more consistent damage and versatility. While it still has some utility, it has fallen to the C tier as players seek more reliable and effective options.

14. Chronomancer (Sorceress) - C Tier

Chronomancer in Path of Exile 2 0.2 is probably suitable for the C Tier class. The ascendancy can deal consistent damage by deploying lingering spells, which allows for effective area control. However, it suffers from low survivability and mobility issues, making it vulnerable in chaotic situations. The Temporal Rift skill offers some mitigation by enhancing movement speed and providing health and mana recovery, but it requires precise timing to avoid disastrous positioning errors.

15. Warbringer (Warrior) - D Tier

Warbringer remains largely ineffective, with minimal buffs failing to enhance its overall appeal. Its niche identity does not resonate well with players, and the class struggles to find a place in the current meta. As a result, it is placed in the lowest tier, it is probably one of the least desirable options for players looking for a robust gameplay experience.

16. Witchhunter (Mercenary) - D Tier

Witchhunter class has not improved significantly, despite some minor buffs. Its mechanics remain lackluster, failing to provide compelling gameplay. Players are unlikely to find success or enjoyment with this class, leading to its current rank. It stands out as a particularly weak choice for those exploring the new league content.

17. Acolyte of Chayula (Monk) - D Tier

Lastly, Acolyte of Chayula struggles significantly with minimal utility and poor mechanics. Despite receiving some buffs, it remains underwhelming compared to its peers. Players seeking a fulfilling gameplay experience are likely to find this class frustrating. Its lack of clear advantages makes it the least attractive option in the current DotH tier list.
